The cabin features an open floor plan with lofted ceilings. The kitchen, dining area, and living room are all in the main space. The kitchen has all new appliances and is appointed with basic cooking supplies for memorable meals in this beautiful location.

A beautiful spiral staircase provides architectural interest at the center of the space. The living room has a projector and smart TV for your use. Instructions will be provided upon check-in.

The primary bedroom has a king-size bed and a closet for your use, in addition to bath towels and beach towels. There is one full bath with shower and tub.

The upstairs loft bedroom has a day bed/trundle bed and can sleep two (one person per mattress). This room also has a dedicated workspace.

This is our home away from home, and we hope you will feel the same way. There are many vantage points to sit and enjoy the views, listen to the wind in the trees, or stargaze on beautiful, clear nights.

Guests have access to the full house and outdoor space. We ask that you please be mindful and respectful of our neighbors and the beautiful natural surroundings.

We are located 1 hour from the Portland Jetport (PWM) and 2 and a half hours from Boston Logan Airport.

Lake Pennesseewassee- public boat launch and beach- located 4 minutes from the cabin. Boat rentals are available just down the road from the boat launch.

The cabin is located minutes away from Long Lake, Crystal Lake, Bear Lake, and Keoke Lake, just to name a few.

We are 8 minutes from Wolf and Harp. A popular wedding venue in the area. Many of our guests attend weddings there each year and we hope we can host you as well!

The house is located at the end of a private gravel road. The road is accessible by all types of vehicles, though we recommend driving slowly and carefully. We will send driving directions on the day of check-in. As you drive in, you will notice old boats and equipment along the roadside: this is part of the working waterfront heritage of rural Maine. Some of our neighbors are multi-generational lobster fishermen, and we feel lucky to be part of this authentic coastal community.

Please note that the second floor bedroom is a converted loft space. The doorway at the top of the spiral staircase is very low (4'4") and will require ducking for nearly everyone.

There is a washer & dryer for guest use in a shed attached to the house. This requires guests to briefly exit the house to go to the shed while doing laundry.

We have about 80ft of private water frontage on the cove down a steep hill (about 300ft) from the house. It is possible to hike down to the water to enjoy the view, but there is no dock or easy water access for swimming/boats. We recommend boating from MacMahan Island Landing (7 minute drive) and swimming at Reid State Park (10 minute drive).
